Prof. Dominik Bösl

Prof. Bösl is a technology expert, computer scientist, and academic with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and digital transformation.

Before joining academia, he held senior leadership positions at leading technology companies including Siemens, Microsoft, KUKA, and Festo, where he worked on innovation strategy, robotics, Industry 4.0, cloud technologies, and the future of automation. He has also served as CTO and Managing Director in the AI and robotics industry.

His academic and research work focuses particularly on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Automation, Technology Foresight, and Robotic & AI Governance, exploring the technological as well as societal and ethical implications of emerging technologies.

At the Munich University of Digital Technologies & Applied Sciences (MUDT), Prof. Bösl brings extensive industry and academic experience into teaching, connecting technological foundations with real-world applications and the future challenges of AI-driven industries.
