At Munich University of Digital Technologies, proficiency in English is essential for academic success and effective communication. To ensure that all students meet the necessary language standards, applicants are typically required to provide an English language certificate equivalent to the B2 level.

  • ELTS: Overall score of 6
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 72
  • TOEFL ITP (paper-based): Score of 543
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): Minimum score of 59
  • Pearson Test of English (General): Level 1
  • Cambridge English Advanced and Proficiency: Overall score of 160
  • Cambridge Exam First (FCE)
  • TOEIC Listening/Reading: Score of 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150
  • PASSWORD: Overall score of 5.5, with no less than 5.0 in each component
  • EF SET (50-minute Test): Score of 51 (only for students applying with an MOI letter)
  • Duolingo: Minimum score of 90

Students may be exempt from providing an English language certificate if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • Native English language speaker
  • Citizen of a majority English-speaking country
  • Underwent most of primary and secondary education in a majority English-speaking country
  • Hold a degree taught in English

Please note that diplomas from bilingual schools or English language-oriented schools are not eligible for exemption from the English language proficiency requirement.
