Munich University of Digital Technologies & Applied Sciences (MUDT) has launched its new Center for Cyber Security & AI, bringing university standards together with hands-on industry expertise to provide professional cyber security and AI training, workshops and consulting in Munich.
The Center is the first of MUDT's new Professional Centers and is based at the University's Siemens Campus in Munich-Neuperlach.
Its goal is straightforward: to connect MUDT's academic and applied research environment with experienced practitioners and an established partner network, turning knowledge into practical solutions for professionals and organizations.
Professional Cyber Security & AI Training in Munich
The Center for Cyber Security & AI focuses on professional education that can be applied directly in the workplace.
Courses are taught by experienced practitioners who work with the technologies, standards and regulatory requirements they teach. Small groups and a practice-oriented approach allow participants to work with concrete methods, tools and real-world examples.
The Center's activities include:
- Professional cyber security and AI courses
- Application and product security training
- In-house workshops for organizations
- Cyber security and regulatory consulting

The Center's first course is the CRA Practitioner, with further courses and professional training tracks planned.
First Course: CRA Practitioner – 7–9 September 2026
The CRA Practitioner Course will take place from 7–9 September 2026 at the Siemens Campus in Munich.
This intensive three-day course takes the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) from regulation to engineering and compliance practice.
It is designed for cross-functional teams responsible for implementing the Cyber Resilience Act, including professionals working in:
- Product development
- Engineering
- Cyber security
- Compliance
- Legal and regulatory affairs
The course is delivered on-site in Munich, in English, with a small group of 6–16 participants.
The timing is particularly relevant: the CRA's notification obligations apply from 11 September 2026, shortly after the course concludes.
Developed with Industry Experts
The CRA Practitioner course was developed together with blueheads GmbH and its partner SecureHabits, combining MUDT's university environment with hands-on cyber security and regulatory expertise.
The course is taught by Dagmar Stefanie Moser, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, together with Nariman Aga-Tagiyev, who contributes to the European CEN/CENELEC working group developing standards related to the Cyber Resilience Act.
Participants therefore learn directly from professionals actively working with cyber security, standards and regulatory implementation.
From Regulation to Engineering Practice
The CRA Practitioner course is designed to help organizations translate regulatory requirements into concrete processes, architecture and evidence.
Rather than focusing only on the legal text, the course addresses what organizations and their teams need to do in practice to prepare their products, development processes and security structures for the Cyber Resilience Act.
The course is especially relevant for organizations developing or placing products with digital elements on the European market.

The CRA Practitioner is the first course offered by the Center.
MUDT is developing an Application Security (AppSec) track covering topics including:
- Threat Modelling
- Security Architecture
- OWASP SAMM
- Secure Coding
- DevSecOps
- SBOM and Software Supply Chain Security
- AI for Secure Development
A further Compliance, Regulations & Frameworks track is also planned, addressing important European regulatory topics including NIS2, DORA, the EU AI Act and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The Center also works directly with organizations through in-house workshops and consulting.
In-house workshops can be tailored to an organization's own products, technology stack and objectives, allowing entire teams to develop a shared understanding and practical approach.
For organizations requiring more direct support, the Center's experts can also provide consulting and advisory services covering areas such as:
