The Munich University of Digital Technologies & Applied Sciences (MUDT) is a state-recognized institution located in the heart of the Isar Valley, Germany’s most dynamic and influential technology region, and one of Europe’s leading IT hubs. Our campus, situated within the Siemens Campus in Neuperlach, Munich, is more than just a place to study,  it’s a collaborative ecosystem where students, faculty, and industry partners come together to design solutions for the digital challenges of tomorrow.

Why We Were Founded

MUDT was born from a clear mission: to strengthen digital expertise in Germany and better prepare the next generation for the realities of digital transformation. From the rapid shifts triggered by global events like the pandemic to the growing cybersecurity threats faced by companies and institutions, it has become increasingly evident that Germany needs agile, forward-thinking institutions to train digital talent.

With this urgent need in mind, Prof. Dr. Wolfram Hahn, and Prof. h.c. Dipl.-Ing. Dietmar Wiegand, and supported by leading industry experts, took the initiative to establish MUDT. Thanks to their outstanding efforts and the dedication of a passionate team of educators and innovators, MUDT received official state recognition from Bavaria in April 2025, following a founding process that began in 2022.

What We Offer

At MUDT, we believe education must be both academically rigorous and practically relevant. That’s why we offer Digital Technology programs specifically tailored to the needs of today’s tech-driven industries including fields such as software development, cybersecurity, and data science.
